Multiple Object Identification with Passive RFID Tags

چکیده

We investigate the applicability of passive RFID systems to the task of identifying multiple tagged objects simultaneously, assuming that the number of tags is not known in advance. We present a combinatorial model of the communication mechanism between the reader device and the tags, and use this model to derive the optimal parameter setting for the reading process, based on estimates for the number of tags. Some results on the performance of an implementation are presented. Keywords— RFID, collision-resolution, tagging, combinatorics.

Efficient Object Identification with Passive RFID Tags

Abstract. Radio frequency identification systems with passive tags are powerful tools for object identification. However, if multiple tags are to be identified simultaneously, messages from the tags can collide and cancel each other out. Therefore, multiple read cycles have to be performed in order to achieve a high recognition rate. For a typical stochastic anti-collision scheme, we show how t...

Performance Analysis of Anti Collision Algorithms for Tracking Objects Containing Passive Rfid Tags

Radio frequency identification (RFID) systems have emerged as an efficient and cost effective solution for tracking objects containing passive RFID tags. The choice of passive RFID tag is due to its low cost and simplicity of implementation. The problem is to identify objects containing passive RFID tags. If there are multiple objects in the range of a tag reader, they all send their ID to the ...

Leveled indoor localization algorithms based on passive RFID

We propose three indoor localization algorithms, namely the leveled nearest-neighbor, leveled multilateration and leveled Bayesian inference, to locate stationary objects (books, merchandise) by affixing passive RFID tags to them. The algorithms use a number of passive tags deployed on the known coordinates as reference points. The simulation results show that the proposed leveled detectable co...

Bit Shuffling Query Tree Algorithm for Secure Communication in RFID Networks

RFID uses radio frequency waves to track and identify objects. RFID system consists of tags and readers. Passive RFID tags are more popular now days due to its simpler circuitry, lower weight and lower cost. Generally passive tags are attached with an object for unique identification. A tag contains information about the particular product, to which it is attached. RFID reader is used to interr...
